Emergency service, 24/7 — plumbing and electricity

A burst pipe at midnight, a power failure on a Sunday, water coming through the ceiling: some problems cannot wait for office hours. Alpha Services Benelux runs a genuine 24/7 emergency line for plumbing and electrical incidents across Belgium, dispatched from Dilbeek near Brussels.

What counts as an emergency

Call us immediately for active water leaks, burst or frozen pipes, blocked toilets or drains that overflow, a boiler that fails in winter, a complete or partial power outage, breakers that keep tripping, or any burning smell near the electrical installation. If you are unsure, call anyway — the dispatcher will tell you honestly whether it needs an emergency visit or can be planned at a lower cost. For specific problems, see our emergency plumber and emergency electrician pages.

How the emergency route works

You call or send a WhatsApp message, describe the situation, and we confirm the problem and send the nearest available technician. On arrival the priority is to make the situation safe: shutting off water, isolating a faulty circuit, stopping the damage. Then the repair is agreed with you before it is carried out.

Frequently asked questions

How fast can a technician be on site?

We dispatch the nearest available technician immediately. Response is fastest around Brussels, Vilvoorde and Zaventem; for other Belgian cities the travel time depends on distance. You get a realistic arrival estimate on the phone.

Are you really available at night and on holidays?

Yes. The emergency line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays. Planned, non-urgent work is scheduled Monday to Saturday.

What should I do while I wait?

For water: close the main stop valve and move valuables out of the wet zone. For electricity: switch off the main breaker if you smell burning or see sparks, and do not touch damaged cables. Our operator gives you instructions on the phone.

Is your emergency work certified?

Yes. Electrical interventions follow the Belgian AREI/RGIE code and plumbing work follows the applicable NBN standards, even under time pressure.

In which languages can I call?

Dutch, French and English. The dispatcher connects you with a technician who speaks your language.

What happens after the emergency is contained?

The technician stabilises the situation first, explains the cause, and agrees the repair with you before carrying it out. If structural follow-up work is useful, you receive a written quote — no obligation.
